Because of its heureux of saturated fatty acids, palm oil is regularly considered ont being atherogenic nutritionally, et would therefore purveyor of bien sur diseases including cardiovascular disease. Thé present study was conducted venir assess transforms in the lipid profile et lipoprotein du patients v ischemic heart, consumer versus non-consumers ns palm oil. The study affiliated 120 patient enrolled at thé Cardiology académie of Abidjan, separated into le 3 groups. Group 1 consisted du 50 patient consumers ns refined palm oil, coporation, groupe 2, ns 40 patient taking the two forms de oil (refined et raw red), and group le3 comprised 30 patients not consuming palm oil (control group). The lipid parameters and lipoprotein measured were total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL cholesterol, and the atherogenic index. In patient’s consumers of refined palm oil, after 04 weeks du diet, 58% had normalement cholesterol rate, 14% hypercholesterolemia et 28% with low cholesterol rate. As for patient taking both types de palm oil, 57.50% had normalement cholesterol rate, 15% hypercholesterolemia and 27.50% with low cholesterol rate. Patients, non-consumers de palm oil had court cholesterol rate at 26.67%. Thé difference was no significant. This study, although preliminary, has allowed determining the palm oil is harmless in patient with ischemic heart disease, consumer or non consumers de that oil.
